Shampoo & Conditioner Empty Shampoo & Conditioner

Post  Admin Wed Jan 07, 2009 5:10 pm

So what type of shampoo do you use? Do you use 1 main brand or are you a shampooaholic??? What about conditioners, do you use them or not?
Can anyone recommend something to use on my "morkie" see avatar, her coat is changing to adult coat and it is driving me insane. The ends are very dry and fuzzy and she really needs something to tame it. I have to put a coat on her because it is so damn cold out so that makes a disaster out of her hair as well. Any suggestions.

Every show, I end up buying something different so, I have tons of small bottles of tons of brands.
Tried and true , in gallons. Les Poochs F&T, Male Dog, Noel.
Top preformance baby powder, I buy 5 gall. of that for the Prima, and use as a first bath, sometimes for both.
Got the sample pack from E-Z groom... works fine, Silky Almond is nice.
Cherrybrook, White on White, Black on Black, I use often...
Equiss (sp) I got their sample pack last year.. nothing special. I did find out they also are the makers of Southbark Blueberry Facial. I use that on every dog face, cause it's tearless, and those big dogs seem to LOVE having their faces massaged...
I did have an issue with it the other day. I will make a new thread about that tho..
We have hard water here and need to get a water softening system, coming as soom as I make some money! I KNOW it will improve the way my shampoos work and make my own hair feel better. Can't wait for that!

shona, i went through that with DeeDee,and i found what worked a treat for me....
if you use a shampoo system, add about a teaspoon of Plush Puppy sea breeze coat oil to the shampoo, shampoo it in just the same as shampooing her normally, and rinse as normal.
dont use a conditioner afterwards, maybe just a spray of Ultra Mist while drying.
If you find the coat a tiny bit greasy or limp, use even less of the oil,but i think you'll be fine with a tsp IN the shampoo

good luck

I just tried a whole bunch of Les Pooch stuff!!
I liked it all BUT there is one Male dog shampoo that I hate sooooo much! Hate the smell, it' still cleans great... It smells like Brute aftershave or something, Blech!!! No

I love the F&T, Hypo, the medicated one and the ear cleaner is nice too.

I don't know.. I think it's just strong! I used it the other day on the last dog and could smell it on my hands for hours after..
i had an owner call me two weeks later just to say his dog has been swimming in the lake and STILL smells good!

I smell it on my hands for hours afterwards too!!

I have a cute plumber that my husband always jokes about. He (hubby)came up today, sniffed me and said "Was the plumber here today?" Meaning I smelled of aftershave Laughing Shocked

So, Isle of Dogs sent me 2 new products with the order of shampoo I made. I usually only order it for my dogs as it's costly. Well, they sent me one called "detangle" shampoo. I swear! matts just melted away. A dog that I thought I was going to have to strip with a 7 managed to get done with a 3 because the stuff worked so well that I could brush it out enough to get a 7 under it. I did no brushing while wet. Bathed, dried, brushed. LOVELY!!! I can't wait to use the Copper Shampoo on the Irish Setter I'm doing tomorrow (my contest dog)!

Suckers,
Is the IoD new in the Salon line or is it the one from the Reg line?
