New Salon for 2009

We are opening another salon!!! It was a salon previously but has been vacant for a few months, apparently the previous groomer had some personal issues and decided to close up. We spoke to the landlord and he said she was really busy all the time so looks like we should have no problems with finding clients. Also it is in a rather wealthy area. We will be doing some renovations but the bare bones are already there so it shouldn't take too long to get it up a running. I will try and get some before and after pictures!

who is going to run the new shop? How far is it from you current one?

Our best groomer from our current salon is going to be running it. The new place is about 40mins from the other one. It is in a fantastic area and people are already asking when we will be opening when they see us going in. I have more pictures of the repairs and renovations and I will post them later.

Opening this Saturday

It's beauthful! Is that that vinyl flooring that sticks together at the edges???

No it is wood laminate floor and it just clicks together. Pretty easy to install and if part gets ruined you can pull it out and replace it.

Well yesterday was the first day at our new salon, and it was fantastic. People were walking in all day long. Everyone that came in stopped in their tracks and said wow, this is nice! We had 5 dogs booked and could have done more but we are only set up for 1 groomer at the moment. A local paper came by and took photo's and it will be published in the next edition. He also said he might be interested in having us do a pet grooming editorial. The phone didn't stop all day long and we have appointments booked for next week already. I am so thrilled, I can't believe how quickly it has taken off.
